A Free Digital Presence for Iowa Nonprofits

Iowa runs on people who show up for each other.

You see it everywhere once you start looking. The food pantry that stays open late on a Tuesday. The free clinic that knows its patients by name. The volunteers pulling trash out of a river on a Saturday morning. The neighbors who help a new family figure out where to even begin. Most of that work happens quietly, carried by small teams who give far more than they ever get back.

My own life is why that matters to me. Time around a hospital showed me how much it means when someone finds care at the right moment, and what it costs when they don’t. Being an immigrant taught me what it feels like to look for help in a new place, sometimes in a language you are still learning. And every trail I have hiked in this state is cared for by people who love it enough to protect it on almost nothing.

Those missions deserve to be found. But most small nonprofits cannot pay agency rates, so they get by with an outdated website or none at all, and the people who need them most never find them. That is a problem we know how to fix, so we are fixing it for free, for as many Iowa nonprofits as we can.

This state has given me a lot. This is one way I get to give some of it back.
